New 2in10 Associates (LtoR) Mike Grant, Nick Shelness, Janet Unswort, Riaz Bava, Debbie Cates, Tim Sandford
April 2007 -- 2in10 Ltd., a venture management and advisory company, has further expanded its team of technology marketing and management professionals by adding six more associates to its team.
2in10 employs product and channel best practices to grow the value of companies and help them achieve a step-change towards domestic and international markets.
The company's new associates include:
- Mike Grant, who specializes in marketing and market analysis and leads 2in10's interests in communications and media technologies. Mike divides his time between Scotland and Cambridge/London, where he works with Analysys Consulting as head of its Broadband & Media Practice. He previously worked at Superscape Group plc, and helped develop that company's strategy that led the organization through two structural transitions from a PC graphics technology provider to a wireless technology provider and then to a leading mobile games publisher.
Mike also identified, negotiated, and executed multi million dollar software licensing equity deals with major industry players including ARM, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, Universal, Fox Mobile, Walt Disney, and Kong Zhong (China).

- Nick Shelness, an independent consultant and technology management advisor since 2001, who has worked on major engagements for such companies as Avaya Corp., Scalix, Inc., Entigo Corp., Microsoft, NextPage, Unilever and United Messaging, Inc.
Prior to this he was a Consulting Engineer for the Communications Products Division at Lotus Development Corp. (1994-1996) and then Chief Architect for that division (1996-1998), where he was a major force in driving changes that were delivered in Notes/Domino R5. He then assumed the rank of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Lotus prior ot its acquisition by IBM Corp.

- Janet Unsworth, specializing in enterprise software applications and the integration of complex systems, especially in the financial services sector. Janet's background includes holding a number of key positions at Oracle, joining the company in 1996 with responsibilities for selling and delivering consulting services based on Oracle software.
Janet was quickly promoted to head up Oracle's consulting Partner Management Team for EMEA where the model she developed was so successful that Larry Ellison had it adopted for the global corporation. Her experience at Oracle and with the financial services sector led her to join the Royal Bank of Scotland to lead the new 3,000+ applications development function post following the acquisition of NatWest Bank in 2000. In 2004, she took on the role of New Business Technology Integrations.

- Riaz Bava, a seasoned technology sales manager with extensive links across the Middle East, North Africa and India. Riaz has a track record of success in the mobile computing, enterprise software and eLearning markets, including two roles as Middle East channel and end-user sales manager for rapidly growing Scottish technology companies.
As Regional Sales Manager (Middle East, Africa & India) for Edinburgh-headquartered Interactive University, Riaz was responsible for identifying and winning some of the company's major sales opportunities. In 2000 he joined the Glasgow-based Idesta Group as Regional Manager (Middle East Africa & India), helping the group to grow rapidly and become the largest vendor of mobile enterprise applications in EMEA within 18 months of start-up.

- Debbie Cates, who had an extensive career at Hewlett Packard in London, where she held a number of sales and marketing positions during her 15 years with the company. In the UK she formulated a strategy for HP's professional services business via indirect sales channels and developed a start-up business within HP which provided a single source of multi-vendor software support to corporate customers using HP computer systems
In HP's European Marketing Centre in Germany, Debbie developed and executed product marketing plans throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and had end-to-end product lifecycle management responsibility for HP's multi-billion printing and imaging business.

- Tim Sandford, who specializes in product marketing and sales management with a focus on enterprise software applications in a number of sectors including retail, telecom and construction. He also brings a track record of driving revenue growth in CRM and vertical market application development.
Tim's technology career began in sales with Microcentre, Elcom and ICL. In 1999 he joined telecom-billing specialists TelesensKSCL as head of Sales & Marketing Strategy where he introduced a new marketing department to the company. In 2002 Tim became International Business Development Manager at CRM vendor Lagan selling into the eGovernment and Telecom sectors.
